Greenside Nursery offers a purpose built facility for children aged 0-5 years old. We ensure all our service areas and facilities are checked against safety regulations regularly and have incorporated maximum natural lighting in to the structure of our building.

The heating throughout the building is electric, from ceiling vents that are thermostatically controlled. By having the heating in the ceiling in several areas of each room, it helps prevent cold spots. It provides a safer environment for the children as there are no hot pipes/radiators for the children to burn themselves on and it also frees up more floor/wall space for the children’s play area.
Furnishings
The nursery furnishings are comfortable and hard wearing. Highchairs, play and craft tables and dining tables are all made from natural beech, and all have rounded edges.
Honey Bears (3-4 year olds daycare)
Sky lighting with remote control openings enable light and more ventilation to flood through when required. This is a large room with a sliding door divider and includes natural scenes of trees and grass all around, creating a feeling of calm and wellbeing for the children.
Bear Cubs (6 weeks old – 2.5 years old)
This room has been designed to incorporate a skylight, which helps give natural lighting in areas that are often overlooked. There is also seperate changing, bathroom and sleep rooms located within the classroom.
Panda bears (2-3 year olds)
Panda bears have a light open room with toys and resources designed to give our 2 year olds the challenges they need for their next steps in their development.
Polar bears (3-4 year olds, 15 hour sessions)
Our annex building is home to our children who attend Am or Pm sessions.The large building is divided into 2 rooms, shared by all the children, giving plenty of space to move around and access the varied activities on offer.
Sensory Areas
The sensory areas incorporates lots of textures, sounds, lights, bubbles, glow in the dark stars & planets as well as soft padded flooring to ensure little ones are safe whilst exploring.
Soft play
Our children share a soft play room that is accessed through Honey bears classroom. There is opportunities for climbing, jumping and swinging in a colourful padded environment.
Outdoor Play Area
There are two gardens at Greenside. One for the 0-2 year olds and one for 2-5 year olds. Both gardens are fully equipped with outdoor play apparatus, and also have safety surfaces such as play bark and soft play surfaces. There is a mud kitchen and also a sand play shed in the garden for the older children.
Kitchen
Our cook prepares wonderful meals and has enabled our nursery setting to be awarded a 5 star hygiene rating from environmental health.
